Sunrise Events Inc was established in 2008 by Wilfred Steven Uytengsu after it was granted the IRONMAN 70.3 license by the World Triathlon Corporation. Fred is a businessman, sportsman and an IRONMAN finisher.
The vision of the company is to stage world class events to put the Philippines in the sports tourism map of the world.
Sunrise Events, Inc. currently stages over a dozen events per year and has the exclusive rights to the IRONMAN, IRONMAN 70.3, 5150, XTERRA, IronGirl and Ironkids events.
The company has received multiple awards in the Philippines and in Asia for excellence in race organization and sports tourism. Its centerpiece event, the IRONMAN 70.3 held in Cebu is known to be the Crown Jewel of Asia in the IRONMAN world.
